Project Mexico internship programs enable young Orthodox adults to serve others in North America. Such internships take individuals out of their comfort zones and into new cultural experiences, and offers invaluable and tremendous possibilities for growth and spiritual development.
For the summer of 2022, Project Mexico is offering two internship programs. Interns in the traditional Tijuana, Mexico location will focus on facilitating our volunteer groups as they build homes for the less fortunate near the Orthodox orphanage there.
The Project Mexico Garrison, New York interns will focus being youth counselors to resident St. Basil Orthodox Academy children who are in need of assistance. There will also be a variety of projects, in which interns in New York can choose to take on. These may include working on murals, blazing a new trail, renovating parts of the property, etc.
Both internship programs will focus on giving interns an opportunity to develop into leaders of the Orthodox ministry. Both locations will offer living arrangements onsite, so interns will have a fully immersed time during their summer stay. In order to be invited, our summer interns must be 18 years of age or older, able to commit to at least 9 weeks of their summer and must pass through our interviewing process.
